Architecture by Strategy
KOGAA is an architecture practice working across buildings, interiors and cities. We find new possibilities through architecture, strategy and use - transforming what exists and creating frameworks for what comes next.
Founded in 2015, KOGAA works from Prague and Brno on projects ranging from interiors and adaptive reuse to cultural spaces, housing and urban transformation. Our work brings together design, research and strategic thinking across different scales.
Every project starts with understanding what is already there: its constraints, resources and unrealised potential. We work across scales and disciplines to define the right questions before designing the answers.
Architecture doesn’t work in isolation
KOGAA is part of Strategies United, extending our work beyond architecture into the wider life of a project. Through PlanCraft, we connect design with engineering and delivery; through NOOX, we explore development and new models of living.
PlanCraft is our engineering partner, bringing technical expertise into the process from early feasibility through coordination, BIM, permitting and project documentation. Working closely together allows architectural ambition and technical reality to develop as one process rather than two separate stages.
NOOX is our micro-living initiative exploring how compact existing spaces can become high-quality places to live. It works as both a real housing model and a testing ground for ideas around adaptability, shared resources and new ways of living.
Together, these ventures allow us to think beyond the boundaries of a traditional architecture practice - from identifying potential, through design and engineering, to testing how new ideas actually work in use.
