Chateau
Today, it retains that role as one of the principal gateways to Nová Zbrojovka, the new mixed-use district developed by CPI. Its programme combines offices, retail and services, allowing the building to continue as an active point of arrival almost a century after it first opened.
The reconstruction focused on preserving as much of the original character as possible. The functionalist exterior was carefully retained, while significant interior elements including marble cladding, staircases, fireplaces, built-in furniture and the original lift shaft were restored and integrated with contemporary technical systems. The project works with these existing details as part of the building’s identity, keeping its history legible within a new phase of use.

One of the most recognisable elements remains the illuminated cube carrying the historic Zbrojovka logo, restored as part of the project. Together with the preserved architecture, it reinforces the building’s role as a marker of continuity between the former factory and the new district growing around it.
