The project works with this accumulated structure as the basis for a new residential programme.
The existing spatial logic is extended into the new intervention, while the rear parts of the site are carefully reworked to accommodate contemporary use. Heritage requirements, technical constraints and the depth of the plot help determine where the building should change and where continuity carries greater value.

The project treats the programme as a way of testing the capacity of the existing building. New living spaces are introduced through a strategy that untangles historical layers without erasing them, allowing the former post office to move into a different life while keeping its relationship to the street and its past legible.
