With little possibility for expansion beyond the existing footprint, the transformation focuses on the vertical articulation of the building and on making its scale more legible to people approaching on foot.
Six tower-like volumes organise the façade and emphasise different parts of the programme. Around the entrances, this fragmentation brings the scale of the complex closer to that of the street, while openings and clearer visual relationships reveal more of the activity inside.

Colour becomes an architectural tool for both identity and orientation. Developed with artist Václav Kočí, the façade uses a gradual field of tones to reinforce the tectonics of the building and help visitors navigate the complex surroundings. A controlled signage system further reduces visual clutter along Vídeňská Street.
