Urban Spa
The project starts from the value of an existing civic complex whose original function has weakened, asking how its architectural and social role can be renewed through a viable new programme.
The study treats the existing buildings as a resource, working with their scale, spatial organisation and accumulated history as the basis for transformation. New uses are tested against the capacity of the complex, allowing the character of the baths to guide where intervention is needed and where existing qualities should remain dominant.

The proposal positions reuse as both an architectural and operational strategy. By bringing a new wellness and hospitality programme into the historic structure, Urban Spa aims to reconnect the complex with contemporary city life while extending the useful life of a significant piece of Brno’s built heritage.
