The brief combined the organisation’s vision with wellbeing, new technologies, sustainability and cost-conscious design, asking the office to function as an active environment for both focused work and collaboration.
The original floor plan had been designed for laboratory use, with deep spaces and a narrow central corridor that did not suit contemporary office life. Existing partitions were removed and replaced by a non-linear open plan organised through transparent, organically shaped divisions, allowing daylight, views and movement to extend across the workplace.

The resulting layout replaces corridor-and-room logic with a network of connected working areas and functional bays. Multiple routes through the floor support flexibility and informal interaction, while transparency keeps different teams visually connected and turns circulation itself into part of the social life of the office.
